No, it is not safe to occupy discarded spaces like the sleep-out room if you want to go ahead in professional life. I do think that working in these spaces can nurture alternative types of power besides luminous insights. Of course these spaces can be exclusionary as well. I remember those days at work when important decisions were made during cigarette breaks on a bridge between buildings. It was almost dangerous not to be a smoker during those days. But I believe that we all live in parallell spaces these days, so we can really be and work in several institutions or headspaces at the same time. This is what I think is really important, although indeed it is a complex experience, especially when you no longer manage to or refuse to recognize hierarchies between institutions. And I am curious about those fuses you have blown.
