As described in the FAQ, the different sections are intended to "promote a certain kind of discussion, a specific style of communication and exchange", rather than organizing postings on the basis of content. That's the idea. How well does it work in practice?

[ --------------------------------------------- ]

Since these particular sections rose to the top, so to speak, over the course of long discussions about categories and modes of communication, they obviously make sense to those of us involved in those discussions (well, some of us at least), but it would be interesting to hear from other people about how much sense these sections make, how useful they are by themselves, without the background of those discussions. How do you choose a section, when you submit a "text nibble"? Are there other possible choices you would rather have? Are you happy with these? What do you think?

I think the sections are useful. I like the 'question corner' because just asking a question is an underrated mental activity. I am also tempted to settle into the secret room upstairs, but I am challenging myself to be patient and wait for somebody else to appear there first. Discordia's sections at this point seem to offer a lot of flexibility, which I appreciate a lot.
